Stampin UP

Hey everyone, thought I would add Stampin Up, please go and take a peek at their products, there's lots of lovely things to see, project ideas and specials. If you love Halloween  like me, you are going to love the Halloween paper currently on clearance.

I played around with the fabulous, Tap Tap Tap stamp set  and Gorgeous Grunge , and two of the wonderful ink colours available in the stamp pads, Pool Party and Crumb Cake to create this quick and easy card.

Who knew that paper and card could produce a typewriter !!

Its a friend's birthday tomorrow, she works in the office where I work , what other gift box would you give but a trusty vintage typewriter.  I cranked up the Silhouette Cameo and cut the pieces required to make this project.

It takes time and a bit of concentration as you have to line up and glue correctly to let the typewriters shape to form.

I added my own sentiment to look like it had been freshly typed on ther and voila!  a gift box which  you cannot buy in the shops.  Thats the beauty of handmade, creating projects you cannot buy anywhere else.

I hope she loves it.

Good Morning everyone !!  Thank goodness its not raining !!  Yesterday I had prepped my front garden for the stone delivery this morning and had wanted some greenery. This is what I found, I call it Hedge in a box, its actually artificial ivy screening, but hey it gives you instant greenery and has cheered my garden up no end.

.

Started potting and placed these little cuties on my hedge !!  Cant wait for stones today.

Will be sure to keep you updated.

I have started a  Niche challenge I saw on www.blog.paperartsy.co.uk. Reading through the blog, I was inspired by the Niches blog post. As you all know I love altered art and mixed media, so this was right up my street. please watch this space for the finished product. There are little pieces of 'me' in this project, a bee which is the meaning of my name, a thistle button to represent where I come from and a skull for my love of all things Halloween, nestled on a cord and atop an old tin pan, I really enjoyed creating this altered time piece.

Hello everyone, well what can I say, I am making it my mission to keep up with my blog !!! I am busy creating new samples for Crafters Companion, so keep looking as I will reveal the samples as soon as the products are on sale. I love working with the new products. I have also been cutting blank box cards with my silhouette and creating my own fun inserts, here are some recently done, 2 of which are my own design and the other box cut is a complete cutting file. I have so much fun doing these.
Top tips on glues - If you are sick of being burnt with your hot glue gun, why not try Collall 3d glue gel, although it needs leaving for 24 hours to completely dry, your elements will be stuck fast and wont be going anywhere in a hurry. Its well worth the price and saving you from those burnt fingers.
